POINTS

Here's for a full explanation of points, badges and belt distribution:

ELIGIBILITY AND LEADERBOARD

Participants may earn eligibility for the opportunity to purchase one–and no more than one–pair of the Mars Yard 3 sneaker.

Eligibility will be determined based upon your position on the leaderboard.

Leaderboard position will be determined by how many points you earn.

How many points you earn will be based on how much you participate in the challenges.

The more consecutive days you complete and log a challenge, the more points you get.

Those in a winning position on the Leaderboard at the conclusion of the competition will be notified in early September with instructions to complete the purchase of their shoes.

CALENDAR

New summer camp challenges will be revealed weekly, beginning on Thursday, June 10, 2025.

The final summer camp challenge will be announced on Friday August 29, 2025.

Once introduced, challenges can be executed and logged once per calendar day.

A calendar day means the 24 hour time period in the time zone in which a participant is stationed.

The competition for the Mars Yard 3 will conclude, and all points will be final, on Friday September 5, 2025 at 12:01 am, Eastern Daylight Time.

Points are at the discretion of Nikecraft and the Tom Sachs Studio team, and all decisions are final.

MOVIES

Beyond the challenges, participants will have the opportunity to watch Tom Sachs Studio movies, and other recommended movie, and take quizzes to earn additional points.

Movies introducing each challenge will be shown on Instagram and, with further instructions, on the I.S.R.U. app.

Quizzes can be taken once and can be found in the app.

EXTREME EXCELLENCE

An Extreme Excellence distinction (EE) can be earned to rocket a participant into a shoe-eligible position on the leaderboard.

Examples of EE could include producing and sharing work of great merit or effort in relation to one of the challenges or to the I.S.R.U program itself.

Examples of EE will be curated and displayed in the HIGHLIGHTS section of the app.

If you make it onto the HIGHLIGHTS section you receive your EE badge

NEPOTISM

Those who receive the Mars Yard 3 by virtue of nepotism will display the Nepotism badge on their I.S.R.U. ID.

SHOE SIZE

You can change your requested shoe size throughout your I.S.R.U. journey should you decide all your hard work is best suited to benefit the sneaker needs of a loved one and not yourself.

CHEATING

Cheating will not be tolerated.

If you cheat, and are caught, you will be disqualified and your account may be suspended or deleted. We will be watching. We have very long memories. Don't do it.

ETHOS

While the opportunity to win a pair of shoes is a possible outcome, the greater outcome is developing new and meaningful rituals based on athletic and creative output.

BACKGROUND

I.S.R.U stands for IN-SITU RESOURCE UTILIZATION.

Developed by NASA, I.S.R.U solves the complex problem of packing for space exploration:

Astronauts harness local resources at mission destinations instead of bringing everything from Earth.

In artist Tom Sachs’ New York City studio, I.S.R.U is integral to the creative process.

Using a technique called bricolage, Sachs and his team of artist-athletes use found materials to complete their mission of making sculpture.

You, too, can use ISRU to help you realize your goals.

WHAT’S NEXT

Summer Camp is the first installment of I.S.R.U. activity.
